Cluj-Napoca Open: Bogdan knocks out Erika Andreeva to reach last eight

Romanian Ana Bogdan, the No 8 seed, won against Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the last eight of the Cluj-Napoca Open at the BTarena.
Bogdan, ranked No 65, will face Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the top seed, next.
The Romanian defeated American Alycia Parks (7-5, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Cluj-Napoca tournament, Andreeva, ranked No 112, beat Romanian wildcard Anca Alexia Todoni (6-3, 6-4).
