Dane Clara Tauson beat Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Cleveland Open at Jacobs Pavilion on Monday.
Tauson, ranked No 67, will play Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 5 seed, next.
