Frenchwoman Clara Burel won against American lucky loser Elvina Kalieva 6-3, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Cleveland Open at Jacobs Pavilion on Monday.
Burel, ranked No 57, will face the winner of the match between Katie Volynets and No 8 seed Sofia Kenin next.
