Burel beats Kenin in Cleveland second round
Clara Burel ousted Sofia Kenin in straight sets on Wednesday in Cleveland. Burel will meet top seed Beatriz Haddad Maia in the quarter-finals.

Clara Burel knocked off American Sofia Kenin, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Cleveland Open at Jacobs Pavilion on Wednesday night.
Burel, ranked No 58, will face top-seeded Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia on Thursday.
In the previous round of the Cleveland tournament, the Frenchwoman defeated American lucky loser Elvina Kalieva (6-3, 6-2).
Kenin, ranked No 55, edged out Katie Volynets (6-2, 2-6, 7-5) in the first round earlier this week.
