Cirstea stuns top seed Sakkari to reach quarter-finals in Abu Dhabi

Romanian Sorana Cirstea won against Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 3 seed, 6-2, 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City on Wednesday.
Cirstea, ranked No 26, will face Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 7 seed, next.
The 33-year-old Romanian edged out Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia (6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Abu Dhabi tournament.
