China Open: Haddad Maia makes third round
Beatriz Haddad Maia will play the winner of the match between American Madison Keys and Sara Sorribes Tormo in the next round

Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 13 seed, moved into the third round of the China Open by winning against Chinese wildcard Sijia Wei 7-5, 6-4 at the National Tennis Center in Beijing on Saturday.
Haddad Maia, ranked No 12, will play the winner of the match between American Madison Keys, the No 18 seed, and Spanish qualifier Sara Sorribes Tormo next.
Wei, ranked No 140, beat Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-4, 7-6 (6)) in the previous round of the Beijing tournament.
