China Open: Garcia into last 16 after three-set win over Putintseva
The Frenchwoman will play Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina in the next round

Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the No 9 seed, moved into the last 16 of the China Open by defeating Kazakh qualifier Yulia Putintseva 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 on Tuesday.
Garcia, ranked No 10 in the world, needed two hours and 15 minutes for the win and will face Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina next.
The Frenchwoman will face Kalinina for the second time in as many weeks, having beaten the Ukrainian in Tokyo just last week.
Garcia had won against Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Baindl (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round while Putintseva, ranked No 75 in the world, beat Marie Bouzkova (6-2, 7-6 (5)) in her opening match of the tournament.
