Linda Fruhvirtova won beat Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus 6-0, 6-3 to reach the 32 of the China Open.
The rising young Czech talent has now put together an impressive run of four wins in five matches, having reached the semi-finals of the Ningbo Open last week.
Fruhvirtova, ranked No 117, will face No 6 seed Maria Sakkari next.
