China Open: Brady beats Stearns in all-American clash to reach second round

Jennifer Brady won against qualifier Peyton Stearns 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the 32 of the China Open.
In an all-American clash, Brady stamped her authority over her young compatriot, comfortably winning in straight sets with an accomplished performance.
Brady reached the final of the Australian Open final in 2021, but has struggled with persistent injury woes since then. 2023 has been a renaissance for her, putting in impressive performances as she continues her comeback.
Brady, now ranked No 258, will play Pole Magda Linette next.
