Charleston Open: McNally books spot in second round defeating Niemeier
Catherine McNally defeated Jule Niemeier 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday evening and will face the winner of the match between Shelby Rogers and No 13 seed Danielle Collins in the next round

American Catherine McNally won against German Jule Niemeier 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Charleston Open at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Tuesday.
McNally, ranked No 71, will face the winner of the match between Shelby Rogers and No 13 seed Danielle Collins next.
