Charleston Open: Kalinskaya beats Cornet in three-hour plus marathon to set up Azarenka clash
The Russian defeated French veteran Alize Cornet 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-2 on Tuesday

Russian Anna Kalinskaya won a marathon three-hour 12-minute marathon over Frenchwoman Alize Cornet to advance to the last 16 of the Charleston Open at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Kalinskaya, ranked No 70, won 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-2 and will face Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Charleston tournament, the Russian beat Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 11 seed (7-6 (6), 6-4).
Cornet, ranked No 64 in the world, had won against American wildcard Fiona Crawley (6-0, 6-2) earlier in the week.
