Charleston Open: Kalinskaya knocks out Azarenka, books spot in last eight against Jabeur

Russian Anna Kalinskaya advanced to the last 8 of the Charleston Open by beating Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 6 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (5) at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Thursday.
Kalinskaya, ranked No 70, will face Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the second seed, next.
The Russian won against Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 11 seed (7-6 (6), 6-4) and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet (7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-2) earlier in the week
In the previous round of the Charleston tournament, Azarenka, ranked No 18, defeated American Sloane Stephens (3-6, 6-3, 6-2).
