Fit-again Jabeur continues resurgence to reach semi-finals in Charleston

Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the second seed, advanced to the semi-finals of the Charleston Open when Russian Anna Kalinskaya retired on Friday at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Jabeur, ranked No 5, led 6-0, 4-1 when Kalinskaya, ranked No 70, pulled out on Friday evening at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
The Tunisian will face the winner of the match between American Madison Keys, the No 9 seed, and Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 3 seed, next.
Ons Jabeur defeated Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko (6-3, 6-3) and American wildcard Caroline Dolehide (6-3, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Charleston tournament, the Russian won against Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 11 seed (7-6 (6), 6-4), Frenchwoman Alize Cornet (7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-2) and Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 6 seed (6-4, 7-6 (5)).
