Caroline Dolehide edged out Kayla Day 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 on Tuesday evening and will play No 5 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia in the next round

Caroline Dolehide advanced to the second round of the Charleston Open by edging out Kayla Day 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Tuesday evening.
Dolehide, ranked No 47, will face No 5 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia next.
