Charleston Open 125: Wang books spot in semi-finals

Chinese Yafan Wang, the No 6 seed, reached the last four of the Charleston Open 125 by defeating Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva 6-2, 6-4 at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Wang, ranked No 66, will play Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 7 seed, next.
The Chinese won against Japanese lucky loser Mai Hontama (7-6 (6), 6-4) and Italian Sara Errani (6-4, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Charleston 125 tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Andreeva, ranked No 98, beat Dane Clara Tauson (6-3, 6-0) and Japanese Nao Hibino, the No 9 seed (2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3).
