Charleston Open 125: Kessler moves into second round

American qualifier Mccartney Kessler reached the second round of the Charleston Open 125 by edging out Chinese Lin Zhu, the No 5 seed, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.
Kessler, ranked No 123, will face Russian Kamilla Rakhimova next.
