Catalonia Open: Osorio books spot in quarter-finals

Colombian Camila Osorio defeated Spanish wildcard Leyre Romero Gormaz (6-0, 6-2) to move into the quarter-finals of the Catalonia Open on Thursday.
Osorio, ranked No 115, will play the winner of the match between Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova and American Lauren Davis, the No 3 seed, next.
The 21-year-old Colombian won against Japanese Moyuka Uchijima (6-2, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Romero Gormaz, ranked No 156, won against Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 8 seed (6-0, 6-2).
