Catalonia Open: McNally reaches the quarter-finals
Catherine McNally won against Nadia Podoroska 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 on Thursday. She’ll now face Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the second seed.

American Catherine McNally, the No 7 seed, moved into the last eight of the Catalonia Open by beating Argentinian Nadia Podoroska in three sets (1-6, 6-4, 6-1) on Thursday.
McNally, ranked No 69, will face Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the second seed, next.
The 21-year-old American won against Spanish wildcard Irene Burillo Escorihuela (6-4, 6-3) in the previous round.
During the 32, Podoroska, ranked No 104, defeated Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera (6-4, 6-2).
