Caroline Wozniacki’s next tournament to be 2024 ASB Classic in New Zealand
Caroline Wozniacki has announced that she will play the 2024 ASB Classic as her next tournament on the WTA Tour, before the 2024 Australian Open
Caroline Wozniacki will return to tennis in early 2024, with the ASB Classic announcing that the former world No 1 will be competing at the WTA 250 tournament in Auckland from 1-7 January 2024.
The Danish player made a brief comeback after not playing on the WTA Tour for three and a half years, having taken time away from the game to start a family. She contested the WTA Masters events in Montreal and Cincinnati, before participating in the US Open and making a run to the round of 16 in just her third tournament back.
Following her US Open exit, the Dane announced that she would not be playing for the rest of the year.
Now, it has been confirmed that Caroline Wozniacki’s next tournament will be at the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, a fortnight before the Australian Open begins in Melbourne.
Wozniacki has twice made the final in Auckland, losing to Venus Williams in 2015 and Julia Goerges in 2018. Most recently, she played at the ASB Classic in 2020, losing in the semi-finals to Jessica Pegula.
