Italian Nuria Brancaccio won against Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic 6-4, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Cali Open on Tuesday.
Brancaccio, ranked No 216, will face the winner of the match between Colombian Camila Osorio, the top seed, and Argentinian Martina Capurro Taborda next.
