Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova moved into the final of the Budapest Open when Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin retired on Friday afternoon at Római Tennis Academy.
Tomova, ranked No 109, led 4-6, 6-3, 4-1 when Dodin, ranked No 106, pulled out on Friday at Római Tennis Academy.
The Bulgarian will face German qualifier Tamara Korpatsch next.
Earlier in the tournament, Viktoriya Tomova defeated Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 3 seed (4-6, 6-0, 6-2), Austrian Julia Grabher (3-6, 6-1, 7-5) and Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (6-1, 7-5).
The Frenchwoman won against Romanian Irina Bara (7-6 (3), 6-3), Russian lucky loser Erika Andreeva (6-4, 6-4) and American Lauren Davis (5-7, 7-5, 6-2) in the previous rounds.
