Bucsa cruises into Bogota Open quarter-finals

Spaniard Cristina Bucsa, the No 4 seed, won against German Jule Niemeier 6-4, 6-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Wednesday night.
Bucsa, ranked No 75, will face Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 8 seed, next.
The Spaniard defeated Chinese qualifier Xiaodi You (6-1, 7-5) in the previous round of the Bogota tournament.
In the first round of the Bogota tournament, Niemeier, ranked No 113, won against Italian qualifier Nuria Brancaccio (6-2, 6-3).
