Tunisian Ons Jabeur moved into the last 16 of the Brisbane Open by winning against Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 14 seed, 6-3, 6-2 at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Tuesday.

Jabeur, ranked No 42, will face Armenian Elina Avanesyan next.

The Tunisian defeated Chinese Saisai Zheng (7-6 (5), 6-4) ahead of her victory.
