Brisbane Open: Andreeva beats Noskova to reach last eight

The Russian teen will face Tunisian Ons Jabeur in the next round

Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 8 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Brisbane Open by winning against No 12 seed Linda Noskova 6-3, 6-0 at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Thursday.

Andreeva, ranked No 16, will face Tunisian Ons Jabeur next.

The 17-year-old Russian defeated Anna Blinkova (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the tournament.

Earlier in the week, Noskova, ranked No 26, won against Romanian qualifier Anca Todoni (6-1, 6-4).
