Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens won against Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 11 seed, 7-5, 6-3 to move into the last 16 of the Brisbane Open at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Lamens, ranked No 87, will face American Ashlyn Krueger next.
The Dutchwoman defeated Russian Kamilla Rakhimova (6-2, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
