Bolivia Open: Semenistaja through to last four

Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 5 seed, beat Argentinian Julia Riera, the No 3 seed, 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the last four of the Bolivia Open on Friday.
Semenistaja, ranked No 131, will play Romanian Anca Todoni, the No 6 seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the 22-year-old Latvian won against Spaniard Aliona Bolsova (6-3, 6-4) and edged out Frenchwoman Selena Janicijevic (6-2, 4-6, 7-5).
Riera, ranked No 117, won against Julieta Lara Estable (6-3, 6-0) and Russian qualifier Daria Lodikova (6-3, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
