Bogota Open: Siegemund advances to second round
Laura Siegemund beat Iryna Shymanovich 7-6 (5), 7-5 on Tuesday night and will face the winner of the match between Colombian wildcard Yuliana Monroy and Francesca Jones in the next round

German Laura Siegemund, the No 7 seed, moved into the second round of the Bogota Open by beating Belarusian qualifier Iryna Shymanovich 7-6 (5), 7-5 at the Country Club Bogota on Tuesday night.
Siegemund, ranked No 89, will play the winner of the match between Colombian wildcard Yuliana Monroy and Francesca Jones next.
