Bogota Open: Rakhimova reaches last four

Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 4 seed, won against Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 7-5 to move into the last four of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Friday night.
Rakhimova, ranked No 90, will face the winner of the match between Slovenian Tamara Zidansek and American Peyton Stearns next.
In the previous rounds of the Colombia Open, the 21-year-old Russian defeated Cypriot Raluka Serban (7-6 (3), 6-3) and edged out Canadian wildcard Eugenie Bouchard (6-0, 6-7 (7), 6-4).
Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 106, beat Aliona Bolsova (6-0, 6-4) and Colombian wildcard Emiliana Arango (6-4, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
