Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the No 6 seed, defeated Colombian wildcard Antonia Samudio 6-1, 6-0 to move into the second round of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Monday evening.
Pigossi, ranked No 101, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera and Serb qualifier Natalija Stevanovic next.
