German Jule Niemeier defeated Italian qualifier Nuria Brancaccio 6-2, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Tuesday.
Niemeier, ranked No 113, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Cristina Bucsa, the No 4 seed, and Chinese qualifier Xiaodi You next.
