Bogota Open: Bouzkova sees off Rakhimova, meets Osorio in final
Marie Bouzkova won against Kamilla Rakhimova 6-4, 7-6 (2) on Saturday evening and will face Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 6 seed, in the final
Top seed Marie Bouzkova defeated Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (2) to move into the final of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Saturday evening.
Bouzkova, ranked No 42, will play Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 6 seed, in the final, as she vies for her second WTA title.
Marie Bouzkova won against Canadian Rebecca Marino (6-0, 6-3), American Hailey Baptiste (6-3, 6-4) and German Laura Siegemund, the No 7 seed (2-6, 6-2, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Bogota tournament, Rakhimova, ranked No 92, beat Colombian wildcard Valentina Mediorreal Arias (6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1), Mexican Renata Zarazua (7-6 (4), 6-7 (5), 6-3) and Spaniard Cristina Bucsa, the No 4 seed (0-6, 6-4, 7-5).
