Birmingham Classic: Potapova overcomes McNally to set up quarter-final against Harriet Dart

Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 4 seed, edged out American Catherine McNally 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Birmingham Classic at Edgbaston Priory Club on Thursday evening.
Potapova, ranked No 21, will play wildcard Harriet Dart next.
The 22-year-old Russian edged out Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (6-7 (6), 7-5, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Birmingham tournament, McNally, ranked No 64, won against Lauren Davis (6-1, 7-5).
