Catherine McNally won against Lauren Davis 6-1, 7-5 to advance to the last 16 of the Birmingham Classic at Edgbaston Priory Club on Monday evening.
McNally, ranked No 64, will play the winner of the match between Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk and Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 4 seed, next.
