Berlin Open: Sakkari thrashes Sasnovich to movie into quarter-finals
Maria Sakkari defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-2, 6-1 on Thursday evening and will face Czech wildcard Marketa Vondrousova in the next round

Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 6 seed, won against Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-2, 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Berlin Open at Rot-Weiss Tennis Club on Thursday evening.
Sakkari, ranked No 8, will play Czech wildcard Marketa Vondrousova next.
The Greek defeated Frenchwoman Alize Cornet (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Berlin tournament.
In the previous round of the Berlin tournament, Sasnovich, ranked No 70, won against Victoria Azarenka (6-4, 6-4).
