Berlin Open: Pegula moves into last eight
Jessica Pegula won against Donna Vekic 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday afternoon and will play qualifier Katerina Siniakova in the next round

American Jessica Pegula, the No 4 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Berlin Open by winning against Croat wildcard Donna Vekic 6-4, 7-5 at Rot-Weiss Tennis Club on Thursday.
Pegula, ranked No 5, will face qualifier Katerina Siniakova next.
In the previous round of the Berlin tournament, Vekic, ranked No 39, beat German wildcard Jule Niemeier (1-6, 6-1, 6-3).
