Berlin Open: Siniakova goes down to Pegula in three sets

American Jessica Pegula, the No 4 seed, beat qualifier Katerina Siniakova 7-6 (2), 3-6, 6-3 to reach the last four of the Berlin Open at Rot-Weiss Tennis Club on Saturday.
Pegula, ranked No 5, will face American Coco Gauff, the top seed, next.
In the previous round of the tournament, the American won against Croat wildcard Donna Vekic (6-4, 7-5).
Siniakova, ranked No 30, won against American Emma Navarro (6-4, 6-3) and Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
