Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the No 3 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Berlin Open by winning against German wildcard Sabine Lisicki 7-6 (2), 6-3 at Rot-Weiss Tennis Club on Monday afternoon.

Garcia, ranked No 4, will face the winner of the match between Australian qualifier Jaimee Fourlis and Chinese qualifier Xinyu Wang next.
