Slovenian Polona Hercog moved into the last 16 of the BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia by winning against Spanish qualifier Eva Guerrero Alvarez 6-2, 6-4 on Monday afternoon.
Hercog, ranked No 183, will face the winner of the match between Italian qualifier Nuria Brancaccio and Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, the second seed, next.
