Marina Bassols Ribera defeated Seone Mendez 6-0, 6-3 and will face Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, the second seed, in the next round

Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera, the No 7 seed, moved into the last eight of the BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia by winning against Australian lucky loser Seone Mendez 6-0, 6-3.
Bassols Ribera, ranked No 109, will play Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Spaniard defeated Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska (6-4, 0-6, 6-3).
Mendez, ranked No 343, won against Spanish wildcard Irene Burillo Escorihuela (6-1, 7-5) in the previous round.
