Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the No 4 seed, moved into the final of the Barranquilla Open by winning against Ukrainian Anastasiya Sobolieva 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 on Friday night.
Podoroska, ranked No 88, will play German Tatjana Maria, the top seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Argentinian beat Chinese Xiaodi You (6-2, 6-2), Chinese Xinyu Gao (6-1, 2-0 ret.) and Georgian Mariam Bolkvadze (6-4, 6-3).
Sobolieva, ranked No 216, won against Colombian wildcard Maria Paulina Perez Garcia (6-1, 6-0), Slovak qualifier Martina Okalova (6-4, 7-5) and Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova (6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-2) in the previous rounds.
