Barranquilla Open: Lamens reaches last eight
The Dutchwoman will face the winner of the match between German Tatjana Maria, the top seed, and American Elizabeth Mandlik in the next round

Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens, the No 6 seed, edged out Francesca Jones 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Barranquilla Open on Wednesday.
Lamens, ranked No 125, will play the winner of the match between German Tatjana Maria, the top seed, and American Elizabeth Mandlik next.
In the previous round, the Dutchwoman beat Israeli qualifier Lina Glushko (7-5, 6-1). Jones, ranked No 203, won against Pole Katarzyna Kawa (6-1, 6-3) in the previous round.
