Barranquilla Open: No trouble for Arango against compatriot Monroy
Emiliana Arango won against Yuliana Monroy 6-2, 6-1 on Tuesday night and will face Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the second seed, in the next round

Emiliana Arango defeated wildcard Yuliana Monroy 6-2, 6-1 to move into the last 16 of the Barranquilla Open on Tuesday night.
Arango was strong on serve, making 63 percent of her first serves and winning 77 percent of the time she made a first serve. The Colombian was also excellent under pressure, saving all four of the break points she faced.
Arango, ranked No 168, will play Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the second seed, next.
