Greek Valentini Grammatikopoulou defeated Italian Giorgia Pedone 6-4, 6-2 to move into the last 16 of the Bari Open at Circolo Tennis Bari on Tuesday.
Grammatikopoulou, ranked No 247, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the top seed, and Hungarian Reka Luca Jani next.
