Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, the second seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Bari Open by winning against Italian qualifier Angelica Moratelli 7-5, 6-4 at Circolo Tennis Bari on Monday afternoon.
Cristian, ranked No 99, will face Italian Nuria Brancaccio next.
