Katerina Siniakova beat Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the second seed, 6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-3 to move into the last eight of the Bad Homburg Open at the Bod Homburg vor der Höhe on Wednesday afternoon.
Siniakova, ranked No 27, will face Croat Donna Vekic next.
Ahead of her victory, Katerina Siniakova won against Frenchwoman Clara Burel (6-3, 6-7 (7), 6-1).
Samsonova, ranked No 15, won against Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo (6-3, 6-1) in the previous round of the Bad Homburg tournament.
