Spanish wildcard Paula Badosa reached the last 16 of the Bad Homburg Open by beating Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus 6-4, 6-1.
Badosa, ranked No 115, will play the winner of the match between Greek Maria Sakkari, the top seed, and Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto next.
