Austin Open: Semenistaja books spot in second round
Darja Semenistaja edged out Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-4 on Tuesday evening and will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Nadia Podoroska and Chinese Xiyu Wang, the No 6 seed, in the next round

Latvian Darja Semenistaja reached the second round of the Austin Open by edging out Andorran wildcard Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-4 at the Westwood Country Club on Tuesday evening.
Semenistaja, ranked No 115, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Nadia Podoroska and Chinese Xiyu Wang, the No 6 seed, next.
