Sloane Stephens won against Tereza Martincova 6-4, 6-0 on Tuesday evening and will play the winner of the match between Latvian Anastasija Sevastova and Argentinian Julia Riera in the next round
American Sloane Stephens, the second seed, advanced to the second round of the Austin Open by winning against qualifier Tereza Martincova 6-4, 6-0 at the Westwood Country Club on Tuesday evening.
Stephens, ranked No 40, will face the winner of the match between Latvian Anastasija Sevastova and Argentinian Julia Riera next.
