Argentina Open: Strakhova reaches second round
Valeriya Strakhova benefited from the abandonment of Guillermina Naya (7-5, 5-7, 2-1) on Tuesday afternoon and will play Slovenian Polona Hercog in the next round

Ukrainian Valeriya Strakhova advanced to the second round of the Argentina Open when Argentinian wildcard Guillermina Naya retired at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday.
Strakhova, ranked No 280, led 7-5, 5-7, 2-1 when Naya, ranked No 382, pulled out on Tuesday afternoon at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club.
The Ukrainian will face Slovenian Polona Hercog next.
