Antalya Open: Danilovic makes last eight

Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 7 seed, won against Pole qualifier Katarzyna Kawa 7-6 (4), 6-4 to move into the last 8 of the Antalya Open at the Megasaray Tennis Academy on Thursday night.

Danilovic, ranked No 133, will play the winner of the match between Swiss Simona Waltert and Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot next.

The Serb defeated German Eva Lys (6-2, 6-0) ahead of her victory.

In the previous round of the Antalya tournament, Kawa, ranked No 189, beat Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse (3-6, 7-6 (6), 6-2).
